ABOUT

About ContractorLicenseAlert

ContractorLicenseAlert keeps track of a contractor’s licenses, permits, insurance policies and bonds, and emails reminders before each one expires. It is for the contractor who holds the paperwork and for the business that keeps track of many contractors’ paperwork.

WHAT IT DOES

What it does, and what it does not

You add each license, permit, policy and bond with its expiration date, or upload the document and have the dates read from it. You then get email reminders ahead of each renewal, and follow-ups once one is overdue.

ContractorLicenseAlert does not check anything with a licensing board, an insurer or a bonding company. It does not confirm that a license is active or that a policy is in force. Reading dates from a document is an assist: you look at what was read and confirm it before it is saved. The record is only as current as what you or your team enter.

THE GUIDES

How the guides are produced

Each guide is credited to Ajay Suryawanshi. Where a guide describes the product, the details are checked against how ContractorLicenseAlert actually works.

The guides are general information. They are not legal or insurance advice, and they do not state any one state’s or board’s rules, because those differ and change. To find the rules that apply to you, check with your licensing board, your insurer or bonding company, or a professional you trust. The NASCLA state licensing information page is a place to start looking up a state’s requirements.
